Forest Hill Village Campus

Forest Hill Village Campus is an award-winning adaptive reuse project that transforms a once-vacant campus into a place of safety, dignity, and healing for individuals and families in crisis.

Leigh + O’Kane served as the structural engineer on this thoughtful redevelopment, supporting a design that balances preservation with renewal. The project maintains familiar building elements while introducing new, light-filled spaces that foster community, connection, and hope.

Structural solutions were carefully coordinated to adapt existing buildings for new uses, ensuring long-term functionality while respecting the original campus framework. The result is a flexible, resilient environment that supports Synergy Services’ mission and the people they serve.

In 2025, the Forest Hill Village Campus was recognized with a Merit Award at the AIA Kansas City Design Excellence Awards, highlighting the strength of the collaboration and the impact of purposeful design.
